Aviation Maintenance Training

Dates: November 8, 2024-February 23, 2025

(16-week course) Aviation Sheet Metal focuses on teaching basic aircraft structural skills. Students spend time in the classroom learning terminology, tools, equipment, blueprint reading and shop safety before moving into the shop for hands-on experience. This class will meet Friday-Sunday, 9:00am-4:00pm.

Carpentry

Dates:  January 14, 2025-April 24, 2025
Registration starts: November 12, 2024 at 9:00am

 

(14-week course) Training topics include, but are not limited to, Safety Measures, Builder Math, Wall/Roof Framing, Siding/Roofing Installation, Proper use of hand tools, & Installing windows/doors. This class will meet on Tuesday & Thursday nights 6:00pm-9:00p.m.

Commercial Driver’s License Training (CDL) Permit Prep Class

Dates: January 13, 2025-January 28, 2025
Registration: November 12, 2024 at 9:00am

Three-week prep course. Prep topics will include the three parts of the Class A CDL learner's permit exam: General Knowledge, Air Brakes, and Combination Vehicles. All three parts of the exam will be taken at your local DMV office. You must have your DOT physical in hand before a CDL learner's permit will be issued, even if you have passed all written tests. This class will meet on Monday and Tuesday nights 6:00pm-9:00pm

Commercial Truck Driving

Dates:  February 3, 2025-March 7, 2025
Orientation: January 22, 2025 at 5:00pm

Six-week driving course. Trainee will learn how to properly operate the 18 Wheel Semi Trailer and prepare for testing to obtain CDL Class A License. Skills to be learned will include, Pre-Trip inspection, In-cab inspection, Air Brakes Check, Parking Brakes Check, Service Brakes Check, Straight Backing, offset (left and right), Parallel Parking (driving and conventional side), 90-degree Alley Docking and Routing Driving. Day class will meet on Monday-Thursday 9:00am-2:00pm            Night Class will meet on Monday-Thursday 5:30pm-9:30pm.

PRE-REQUISITE: Valid CDL Class A permit

Electrical

Dates:  January 13, 2025-April 23, 2025
Registration starts: November 12, 2024 at 9:00am

This is a 14-week class where the student will learn basic electrical skills in either Motor Control or Residential. This class will meet on Monday & Wednesday nights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Electrical Utility Lineman Program

Date: January 13, 2025-May 5, 2025
Registration:  October 1, 2024-November 4, 2024

Qualified workers in this field are in demand. This 16-week, hands-on course is taught by instructors with lineman experience and specialized education.

Emergency Medical Technician 

Dates:  January 15, 2025-April 23, 2025 
Registration starts: November 12, 2024 at 9:00am

(14-week course) The EMT program provides classroom and laboratory instruction for entry level Emergency Medical Technicians following the current National DOT curriculum. Emergency Medical Technician-Basic is an instructional program that prepares individuals to function in the pre-hospital environment. The EMT-Basic program provides instruction in basic life support care of sick and injured persons. This includes airway assessment, communications, documentation, general pharmacology, hemorrhage control, ambulance operations, and splinting of adult, pediatric, and infant patients; and special care patients exposed to heat, cold, radiation, or contagious disease.  This class will meet Wednesdays 10am-5pm.

A certificate of completion will be awarded to those who satisfactory complete the EMT curriculum. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to sit for the National Registry for Emergency Medical Technicians Basic Testing.

Fiber Optic Training

Dates:   January 13, 2025-May 8, 2025
Registration starts:  October 1, 2024-November 21, 2024

This 16-week, hands-on course is taught by instructors with fiber experience and specialized education. Qualified workers in this field are in high demand.  Trainee will receive a CDL Class A License upon completion.  This class will meet Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 4 pm.

HVAC

Dates: January 13, 2025-April 23, 2025    
Registration starts: November 12, 2024 at 9:00am    

(14-week course) Training topics include: workplace ethics, theory of heat, safety, tools, equipment and shop practices, and prep for EPA certification. This class will meet Monday-Wednesday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Medical Administrative Assistant

Date:  January 14, 2025-May 6, 2025
Registration startsNovember 12, 2024 at 9:00am

Learn how to keep a physician’s office or clinic running efficiently in this 15 week class. Medical Administrative Assistant will maintain patient’s records; coordinate collection and preparation of operating reports such as time and attendance. This class will meet Tuesday and Thursday nights    6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Pharmacy Technician

Date:  January 13, 2025-May 5, 2025; Monday and Tuesday 6:00pm-8:00pm

           January 15, 2025-May 7, 2025; Wednesday and Thursday 6:00pm-8:00pm

(16-week course) Pharmacy Technicians are sought-after professionals in pharmacies located in hospitals, drug stores, doctors’ offices and grocery stores. This 16-week class will prepare you to take the Pharmacy Technician certification exam, ExCPT.

Plumbing

Dates: January 14, 2025-April 17, 2025
Registration starts: November 12, 2024 at 9:00am

(13-week course) Training topics include: Workplace ethics, 101 Plumbing, safety, tools. Class meets Tuesday-Thursday; 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Capps Center.

Welding

Dates:  January 13, 2025-May 8, 2025
Registration starts:  November 12, 2024 at 9:00am

(18-week course) Learn about basic MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW welding and safe work practices used at local industries.  This class will meet Monday - Thursday nights 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Cost: $900 (includes welding tool kit to keep at the end of training)

Career Readiness Certificate (CRC)


Three WorkKeys assessments resulting in a nationally recognized credential that gives employers and job-seekers a standard measure of workplace skills. This certificate will show the employer you will be easy to train for on-the-job skills.

There is a fee to test with a valid MS picture ID.

ASE promotes excellence in vehicle repair, service and parts distribution. Over a quarter of a million individuals hold ASE certifications. Industry-recognized certification for auto mechanics and technicians.
