MDCC is constantly monitoring the weather, and out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the safety of our students, faculty and staff, all Mississippi Delta Community College campuses will close at 2pm today, January 9, and will remain closed tomorrow, Friday, January 10.

Due to the Winter Weather Warning, all Mississippi Delta Community College campuses will close at 4:30 pm today, January 9. A decision about college operations for Friday, January 10, will be made this evening. The College will post updates through email, MDCC Alerts, social media and the website.

Automotive Mechanics Technology

Automotive Mechanics is an instructional program that prepares individuals to engage in the servicing and maintenance of all types of automobiles. Instruction includes the diagnosis of malfunctions and repair of engines, fuel, electrical, cooling, brake systems, and drive train and suspension systems. Instruction is also provided in the adjustment and repair of individual components such as transmissions and fuel systems. Students must have a valid driver’s license to enroll in this program.

Completion options include a Technical Certificate, Advanced Technical Certificate and Associate of Applied Science degree.
